In 2010, I was part of a group of people who were asked and hired to help with the recovery and response to some of the BP Oil Spill Cleanup. In part 1, we begin to lay out how we came about being involved and some of the early staging and structure of the event. We also share another unexpected event that changed our plans quickly (welcome to the disaster industry, right?)
